Welcome Eli Kimble

I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since we welcomed Eli to the world.  Here is Eli's story:
I was having contractions or about a week and finally on Thursday January 26th Jason told me to go to the hospital and be checked.  When they checked me I was about 3 1/2 cm and 50% effaced.  So they told me to "go walking"  and come back in about 2 hours to be checked.  I was so mad!  I had been having contractions off and on for a week and was really ready to get Eli OUT!
(Oh and FYI "go walking" is code for just go do something to get your mind off your pain.  It does absolutely nothing!  it DOESN'T increase labor or make you progress)
So I went home and cleaned.  I swept and mopped the floor, re-arranged the garage and made lunch.  I was not going to go back b/c I just felt stupid.  Going up and being told I wasn't in labor was embarrassing to me, but Jason made me go back.  And it turns out I had dilated another cm and was 75% effaced, but since I wasn't 38 weeks yet and water had not broken she couldn't admit me so they send me "walking" AGAIN!
We dropped Gavin off at a friends house went back and finally got admitted. I was finally 6 cm and in full active labor!
I got the drugs! I labored pain free for 7 more hours.  At 6:00 am I did one practice push then it was time. I started pushing at 6:06, pushed twice and Eli was born at 6:07.
